TASK FOR NEXT SESSION:  1) Download the 'REWARDING interactions' graphic and the 'Interacting in Play Strategies' sheet below. Use them to help you evaluate your own interactions 2) Practise having an interaction with a child using the two stages I described in the session a) CONNECTING and following the child's lead to make them feel relaxed and open to interacting b) TEACHING - extending the child's language, thinking and klearning in some way, keeping the focus on the child's play.
