Purchase places for parents of your 3-5 year olds on this brand new three-part online course!

Connect, Play, Learn.

How to boost your child’s development and maximise their early learning – for international schools in East and South East Asia only.

Overview:

This course of three live online one-hour workshops has been created specifically for parents and carers of children aged 3-5 years in international schools in East and South-East Asia.

It will inform parents about child development, the role of play in learning, and how they can support their child in developing important life skills and behaviours for learning.

How it works:

When you purchase access to this course for your parents, you will choose whether you want your parents to access afternoon or evening sessions.

If you would like your parents to access both afternoon and evening sessions, you will have to purchase both.

You will receive a Zoom link to share with up to 300 of your parents.

Parents can then log onto the sessions from home, or you could stream the daytime sessions from your school, and invite parents in.

Recordings will be made available for six months for those who cannot attend live.

Please note, this course will be delivered in English.

Schools can purchase access to this course for up to 300 parents for one fee, of £300. If you need more parents to have access, please contact me to discuss.

Alternatively, schools can:

• Commission this course to be delivered live specifically for their parents only.

• Commission studio quality recordings of this to be made that can be accessed as self-study courses or via a watch party at school.

• Commission additional sessions on supporting children’s emotions and behaviour, language, and early literacy and maths.

• Commission bespoke parental workshops on subjects of your choice.

Contact [email protected] to discuss.

About Me

33 years ago I started work as a pre-school assistant in Norfolk and went on to teach and lead in London schools. I worked as an early years advisor for Lewisham local authority in London and went on to strategically lead the service. I now work nationally and internationally as a trainer, conference speaker and consultant.

I’ve spent the majority of my career working with leaders and managers in schools and settings, providing them with the support and challenge needed to effectively lead and sustain improvements in play-based learning.

As well as supporting at local authority and leadership level, I spend a significant proportion of my time working directly with practitioners in schools, day-care and pre-schools. This hands-on, current experience is key to ensuring that I retain a deep understanding of the reality, challenges and rewards of working with young children and their families. My work involves sharing what I have learnt about play and the difference it can make to children’s outcomes, and helping schools and settings to ensure that children are enabled to learn in as joyful, inspiring and memorable ways as possible.

In response to Covid, I created an EYS online professional learning platform called ‘The Place to Learn’. This is a subscription-based service which provides excellent value, on demand access to my entire collection of training courses for whole teams. Specific modules or whole courses are also now available to purchase separately for both individuals and teams.
