Keynote Speaker

I gave my first keynote speech at the Institute of Education in London in 2002. Since then I have spoken at numerous conferences from Tyneside to Tokyo on a wide range of subjects relating to the education and care of young children. I have provided keynotes at countless Local Authority and Academy Trust conferences, to a wide range of audiences from Headteachers to Childminders.

These years of public speaking experience, combined with 30 years working and leading in early years education, mean that I can bring expertise and credibility to your event, along with an ability to deliver clear messages in an engaging and highly memorable way. I don’t just want my speeches to entertain, I want them to have real impact for children, and it is frequently reported back to me that this has been the case.

As with my other work, I am now able to offer my speeches live online, or as a pre-recorded package.

Workshop Leader

I often lead workshops at conferences, particularly those where I have given the keynote. This enables me to go into more detail on the same subject or to tackle a different subject altogether.

Active learning is as important for adults as it is for children and In order to sustain the attention of delegates I ensure my workshops are highly interactive, with plenty of time for discussion and reflection and lots of practical ideas.
Where the subject matter suits, I am able to bring real resources for delegates to engage with and to inspire their thinking.
