In-House Consultancy

Are you looking to improve the quality of teaching and learning and ensure greater progress in your EYFS?

Do you need a fresh pair of eyes or someone to work with members of your senior leadership team to help evaluate and further develop your provision for EYFS?

Would you like bespoke training created and delivered in-house for your whole EYFS team?

Are you interested in helping staff in Key Stage 1 build upon the principles and approaches from EYFS?

Kym has many years experience and a proven track record of working with early years practitioners and senior leadership teams to help improve the quality of EYFS provision. The schools that she works with consistently receive Ofsted judgements of Good or Outstanding, regardless of their circumstances.

Kym is especially experienced at working with schools in challenging circumstances, in areas of disadvantage, and at helping schools and settings to ensure that all children make progress, including those for whom the Pupil Premium provides support. She is also successful in helping schools and settings to pinpoint the developments they need to make to move their provision from Good to Outstanding.

The plan, do, review package

This 3 day consultancy package is the ideal way to have a real impact on the quality of EYFS provision whilst also upskilling senior leaders such as the EYFS leader or Headteacher. The package is flexible, and developed to meet the school’s needs, but usually consists of:

Day 1: Time spent in school observing practice and provision in the EYFS, in order to ascertain the precise next steps for improvement and how best to support these. This is usually done in partnership with a senior leader such as the Head or EYFS leader, and a plan of action drawn up, as well as on the spot advice given and individual feedback to staff if required.

Day 2: This visit usually takes place within 2 - 6 weeks of the initial visit and will often involve some kind of input for the staff, such as a training session, or working alongside the EYFS leader to support the next stage of development.

Day 3: Usually involves a review of the impact so far and an opportunity to agree next steps and best ways for achieving these. It generally works well if this takes place 10 - 12 weeks on from the initial visit, as this provides a good deadline for staff to work to.
